Welcome to our Website "Communications Workers of America Local 3902". We currently represent approximately 2800 workers in the Birmingham, Centreville/West Blocton and Shelby County areas. Our members work with BellSouth, Cingular, Avaya and AT&T.

Our Local Union works with the Jefferson County Labor Council, AFL-CIO, the Alabama State AFL-CIO, A Phillip Randolph Institute and others to promote unions and build union power.

Nationally CWA represents over 700,000 men and women in both private and public sectors. These men and women may be from the telecommunications industry, broadcasting, cable TV, journalism, publishing, electronics and general manufacturing as well as the airlines industry along with government services, health care, law enforcement, education and others.
